About 60 speakers and learners of the Irish language attended the 17th Scoil Gheimhridh Sydney on 7 to 10 June 2019 at the Chevalier Resource Centre, Kensington, NSW. Uncle Lloyd Walker gave a Welcome to Country with words in his Aboriginal language and English. Then the Consul-General of Ireland in New South Wales, Owen Feeney, officially opened the Scoil with a speech in Irish and English. The Chair of the Metro Land Council, Nathan Moran, was the Guest Speaker. View category |

Lots of fun and learning at the Scoil Gheimhridh Sydney on the long weekend in June. Jane Connnelly, Consul General of Ireland officially opened the Scoil with a speech in Irish and English. Dr Enda Murray was guest speaker and Ailín O' Leary, President of the Irish Language School Sydney was mistress of ceremonies.
